This month’s TWK BMCR Youth Bible Study focused on Galatians 5:22–23 and the importance of cultivating the Fruits of the Spirit through Christian freedom and service.
The session began with a review of previously studied books of the Bible, including the Five Books of the Law and the Books of History, emphasizing the value of knowing Scripture as a foundation for faith. Participants were also introduced to the Books of Poetry—Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon—which explore faith, wisdom, worship, purpose, and love.
The core discussion centered on the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We learned that these traits grow over time as we walk in the Spirit and use our freedom in Christ to love and serve others. Practical examples included showing empathy toward difficult people and practicing self-control, especially on social media.
To conclude, participants chose a Fruit of the Spirit they want God to strengthen and created a visual reminder on a poster board. The study ended with a collective prayer, asking God to help cultivate faith and Christlike character in our daily lives. Thanks to the representatives from Centenary, Golden, and Gordon Memorial for participating!
